Looking Ahead: What’s Coming from Mazda in 2022

It’s hard to believe that 2021 is almost gone. As a brand that’s always looking to the future, Mazda has some big plans for what the next year has in stock. From redesigns to amazing news, there are so many great things to be excited about from Mazda in 2022.

New SUV Lineup

Mazda is rolling out some big changes, starting in 2022. The CX-30 was introduced in 2020 and that was the beginning of a new SUV lineup from the brand. For 2022, we're anticipating the release of the CX-50, which will utilize the same frame as the CX-30. The model will likely be a more spacious, powerful, and lavish use of this frame. Next up, a CX-70 and CX-90 will also roll out by 2023. The future of the Mazda SUV lineup is very exciting.

Goodbye to the CX-3 & Mazda6

With these new models being introduced, Mazda decided to say goodbye to two models. The CX-3, which is perfectly replaced by the CX-30 will not be available after the 2021 model year. Considering how outstanding the new CX-30 has been, we can understand the decision. The Mazda6, Mazda's larger sedan also won't be available for the 2022 model year. If you want a sedan from Mazda, the Mazda3 is an outstanding choice with surprising luxury and comfort.

An Answer to the EV Demand MX-30 EV

Mazda is finally answering the EV demand with an EV model of its own. The MX-30 EV will first be available in California in 2022. Maybe we're biased but we think the MX-30 EV is one of the most beautiful fully-electric models to enter the segment. The aggressive exterior and artful interior make the MX-30 EV look futuristic without the fatuous design of most EV models.
