Explore What's Next for Mazda

The Cutter Mazda of Honolulu / Waipahu team is excited to head into our holiday season, but as 2024 approaches, we're also looking to the upcoming year. It's hard not to, with the array of exciting plans Mazda has in store for the new year. From brand-new models to some updates for current ones, 2024 is sure to be a banner year for the brand. We've compiled just a few exciting things you can look for from Mazda in 2024.
Mazda MX-30 Discontinued
Mazda's only all-electric model won't be returning next year. Mazda learned a great deal about what consumers value with the MX-30 and has decided to retire it. Though Mazda doesn't have any confirmed plans to create a new EV, the brand will focus on new hybrid and PHEV models moving forward. The brand is committed to reducing the use of fossil fuels while bringing vehicles to market that its clients truly want.
Mazda CX-90
For the 2024 model year, Mazda is introducing the first-ever Mazda CX-90. This 3-row crossover delivers car-like handling with enough space for up to eight passengers and an estimated combined mpg of 25. Luxe features like generous cargo space, a power liftgate, and tons of new safety technology make the CX-90 perfect for families who want an upscale experience without the upscale cost. A PHEV variant is anticipated to arrive later.
Mazda CX-70
The CX-70 was delayed. Initially expected at the end of 2023, Mazda pushed the debut of its latest model to 2024. This mid-sized two-row crossover will be the smaller sibling to the larger CX-90, and will also have an available plug-in hybrid electric powertrain. We anticipate the CX-70's powertrain will produce up to 323 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque–impressive numbers for a midsize crossover. It will be rear-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive as well, leading us to believe that the CX-70 could be a performance-oriented SUV with lavish touches.
Of course, these are just what we already know coming from Mazda next year. As 2024 progresses, we expect so many more amazing things.
